- Your crown has fallen off or your filling has fallen out – chances are we can recement or reseal it to avoid unwelcome symptoms if we see you quickly (keep your crown safe and bring it in with you!).
- You’ve broken your tooth, bumped it loose or knocked it out altogether – don’t panic, we can fix this. If your tooth came out, pick it up by the crown, avoiding the root, and rinse it. Pop it back into its socket and call us now!
- You have toothache or a swelling – take the recommended dose of painkillers but avoid antibiotics at all costs – if you’ve got an infection you need to get to the root of the problem as quickly as possible.
Case Study: Emergency Front Tooth Replacement

Rhys suffered a blow to the mouth on a night out at university.
One of his upper front teeth was shattered beyond repair and required extraction. The shattered tooth required urgent removal before infection could set in and an emergency removable denture helped complete Rhys's smile so he could avoid embarrassment whilst we arranged a better long-term solution.
After considering his options Rhys decided to replace the missing front tooth with a dental implant. He also decided to replace the crown on his other front tooth to improve and harmonise the appearance. Some gum recontouring was needed to make the gum positions even on both implant and crown.

How much does emergency treatment cost?
Book an emergency dental appointment during our normal opening hours – weekdays from 9 am to 5.30 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 1pm– and it’s just £95, including the simple treatment it takes to get you out of trouble.
If you need us to reopen the surgery out of hours then it’s £195 until 10 pm or £295 after 10 pm or on a bank holiday. Again, that includes the simple emergency dental treatment that will address your symptoms and get you feeling better.

Excellent friendly practice right from first contact making an emergency appointment through the treatment and then follow up booking for further examination. Everyone was pleasant and went the extra mile to explain things. The Dentist, Catherine, was the best I have come across she explained everything she was doing and was always asking and checking I wasn't in discomfort which I wasn't as although it was a deep filling replacement in a canine tooth it was absolutely pain free. I didn't even feel the injections for the anesthetic. A fantastic dental experience and although private was no more expensive than the NHS costs. Thank you.

Case Study: Emergency Gum Treatment

Michael disliked the appearance of his teeth. He had emergency problems with teeth becoming loose and causing him pain.
Michael had advanced gum disease which had caused his teeth to become loose and in the later stages had started to cause him a lot of pain.
Dr Davenport discussed treatment options with Michael. Unfortunately, quite a few of Michael's teeth had a poor prognosis and needed to be removed. After considering all of his treatment options Michael decided on removable dentures.
Michael has achieved the smile he has always wanted and we think they look fantastic!
